Hamed Edalati Tabrizi
Assistant Professor of Graphic Design
Hamed Edalati Tabrizi is an Iranian interdiciplinary designer, educator, and researcher based in Texas. He holds a Master’s degree in Visual Communication from the University of Tehran, Iran, and an MFA in Studio Arts with a concentration in Graphic Design from Florida Atlantic University, Boca Raton, FL.
With nine years of experience as an adjunct instructor in Iran, Hamed has taught courses in typography, poster design, logo creation, visual identity, and brand design systems. In addition to his academic career, he has extensive experience working as a graphic designer and art director, leading creative projects across branding and advertising. His expertise in visual storytelling and design strategy has shaped numerous successful campaigns and visual identities in Iran.
In the U.S., he has introduced students to the principles of interactivity, UI/UX design, and typography, both as an instructor of record at FAU and now as an Assistant Professor of Art/Graphic Design at the University of Texas Permian Basin (UTPB).
Hamed’s work has been presented in solo and group exhibitions both internationally and nationally at various venues, including the Nancy Fyfe Cardozier Art Gallery in Odessa, TX; Ritter Gallery in Boca Raton, FL; Boca Raton Innovation Campus (BRIC) in Boca Raton, FL; Schroeder Hall Art Gallery at Illinois State University in Normal, IL; Kresge Art Center at Michigan State University in East Lansing, MI; Saba Art Gallery in Tehran, IR; and the Iranian Artists Forum in Tehran, IR.
His research explores the intricate interplay of identity, language, and cultural migration through the lens of graphic design. Hamed remains passionate about the intersection of design, language, and interactive experiences, continually seeking ways to engage audiences through innovative visual communication.
